This weather station, located in Willingdon, near Eastbourne, Sussex, is a Davis Vantage Pro 2 with daytime fan assisted aspiration and solar radiation sensor, which has been operating from January 1st 2011.
The area has it's own Microclimate, being a few hundred metres from the foot of the Sussex Downs. It may not be representative of the wider Eastbourne area.
Temperature sensors are calibrated to BS692 by a Mercury reference.
The station updates the internet every 30 minutes, the data is used to produce our own daily forecast.
Weather Display software is used for data collection, Weather Display Live software for live views and Wxsim software to produce the daily forecast.
Ratton Weather is another local station calibrated to the same standard with a Microclimate slightly different to Willingdon.
